Written methods
No calculator allowed in the assessment, but pen and paper are. Practise the column and bus-stop methods on the screen the same way you would write them on paper.
Goal
Start with Column Addition, then move into Column Subtraction. Long multiplication and short division are the next builds.
Suggested next: Start with Column Addition
It's the simplest column method. Once it feels natural, subtraction uses the same right-to-left input pattern.
